This blog is trying to put the fun into fundamentals that we have to teach in preschool. I have been told so many times that children learn best through play and having fun. I think we all do. With that in mind, my goal is to help teachers, help their students have fun, and still meet the credentials that their employers want. I have some basic themes that I think most teachers would know of, however I am hoping to throw some curve balls into there to, to give you some fresh perspectives on some old themes, but also to throw in a few new ideas that I either found or created on my own. Pinterest is wonderful! With that in mind let’s KICKSTART this new school year with some FUNdamentals.

NOTE: Just because these are labeled Preschool themes, all of these themes I have been able to use in a Summer Camp for ages 3 to 12, and have adapted for my youngest when I was homeschooling her for a short while. This blog is geared to help create educational and fun themes for just about any one, even teachers sometimes.

This category contains themes that help teach the letter S. Themes that are in this category include, Snow, Solar System, and Sand. Units include all the subjects in addition to social/emotional, and religious. In addition, the units utilize hands on activities that engage the students learning. Finally, each theme also takes into account student interest.
